State of The Art, award winning established Brewery and Restaurant. The Brewery is family-run, and produce a range of fine cask and bottled ales, brewed using traditional methods but with recipes that appeal to modern tastes. Their real ale is brewed with whole-leaf hops, freshly milled barley, live yeast and spring water from Croasdale Fell.
As well as their main range of four beers – ‘Blonde’, ‘Wild’, ‘Darkest’ and ‘Pale’ – they also produce four seasonal beers. Customers can learn about the brewing process on one of their brewery tours and sup on the freshest beer at their bistro pub, or purchase something from their online shop
The bar serves quality homemade food in a cosy and friendly setting right next to the brewery. All their meals are freshly made with ingredients from local suppliers, so customers know they are getting a true taste of the Lake District.
Their beers start with only four ingredients: water, malt, hops and yeast. It’s very important to them that their beers are brewed using ingredients that are as fresh and natural as possible: Their water is naturally pure and soft from the valley of Ennerdale in the English Lake District. They also use only the finest malts, which are freshly kiln-dried and milled especially for them. Their flavoursome hops are whole-leaf, dried hops and tier yeast is developed from one of the longest established English Ale Yeasts. They also harvest from each fermentation to use them in the next brew, ensuring they maintain those distinctive flavours. Their beers are fermented for a week, then carefully transferred to racking and conditioning vessels for up to six days, depending on the recipe. Pure natural goodness!
The public bar is very popular with the local community in addition to tourists visiting to try the various ales and paying for the guided tour of the brewery.
This is an excellent opportunity to purchase a well operated and established brewery, which with extra marketing and social media coverage could increase the brand awareness, geographical coverage and turnover.
